52 Create – Flat Pack Rocking Chair

52 Create, my weekly creative output for 2011.  I guaranteed something more ambitious this week, and here it is!  I call it “For those who Like to Rock”.  It’s a flat pack rocking chair made out of baltic birch plywood.  It’s sized for a toddler (1.5-4 years) and assembles without and glue or screws.  I’ve had several different variations of this in my many sketchbooks, and I even made a prototype a few years back, however this is a full finished product.

This rocking chair is now for sale on my Etsy Site, feel free to stop by and make a purchase….

I’m retired and doing crafts on a lathe machines.
I saw on your website is very nice children’s chair.
    (Flat Pack Rocking Čair).
I have a little granddaughter, she was 5 years old.
I want her to do so, and chair.
Not if you can share files for CNC machines.
Suitable format *. RLF, *. DWG, *. STL, *. ART.

    • Hi Yuri,

I was in Russia fifteen years ago racing biathlon in Siberia, beautiful country! Unfortunately the rocking chair was handmade with a jig saw and bandsaw and the plan was drawn by hand. I would love to do this sort of work on computer and with a CNC but unfortunately I don’t have enough money to buy these things!

  6. Thank you for your reply.

Yes, Russia is a beautiful country, but it is
    very cold in winter.
    But we have become accustomed.
Do not tell links to sites where you can download
such files or drawings for the CNC machine.
I really want this chair milled.
