Over on Core77 they are having a contest to see who can”create the most inspiring, unexpected and fun cardboard ornaments and accessories for the home”. Objects have to be Christmas themed and bonus marks will be awarded for creative use of folding/fastening the cardboard.

The D3 design contest, held in conjunction with the Cologne Furniture Fair has extended it’s entry deadline to September 29th. The contest is for young designers who have not yet had their talents truly showcased (ie mass produced). Top 30 get showcased in Cologne, top prize is 3000 euros. Entry is free, and I think I will enter my Caterpillar Crib and see what happens!
