Timber – by Julian Kyhl

While at the London Design Festival last week, I came across this table by Julian Kyhl.  Called “Timber“, it consists of 10 pieces of wood (ash and oak) that are held together without screws or glue.  One person can easily assemble it (as Julian kindly demonstrated), and it can be shipped in a very small package.  I was blown away by his design as the table top pieces slide onto cross braces, all secured in place by the table legs.

Have a look at his website for other projects on the go.
